Digital Zines are out!

I just sent a url to download the digital characters zine to all who backed at a level that receives a digital reward. I am distributing this digital zine in the same manner that I distributed the One Page Dungeons digital zine. It seemed to work out last time, but if there are issues this time, then please bring those issues to my attention so that I can fix them ASAP.

Reminder that Backerkit orders and surveys will close on August 5th. Your cards will be charged at that time and we will get to work on getting you physical zines!

Backerkit Surveys - August 5th deadline - Locking Orders & Charging Cards

Wow! After less than a week being live, we already have an 80% response rate to the Backerkit survey. That's pretty awesome, so THANK YOU!!
I'm going to set the deadline for response as August 5. This gives folks another week or so to respond. At that point, I will lock backerkit orders and run all of the cards. So, if you have changes to make (or if you haven't had an opportunity to respond to the survey yet) you have until 8/5 to do your thing!
We are doing a final revision of the cover and then we will send the files to the printer. We expect physical zines in the next few weeks.
There is a lot going on with the U.S. Postal Service right now. It is causing me no small amount of anxiety given the timing of the fulfillment of these physical rewards. We will move forward with our plan as is, and trust that the USPS will deliver as timely as they can given the current circumstances with their budget.

Backerkit is Live!

Hello all!
Over the past couple of days Backerkit surveys made their way to all of your inboxes. Check your email for the invite link. The quicker everyone completes the Backerkit surveys, the quicker we can move on to the fulfillment phase of this project.
Once again, thank you so very very much for your patience and support. I really love the way this zine turned out and I am super proud of all of the work done here by the entire team.

Zine Finalized - Backerkit Approval - Smoke Test

Hello all!
The Characters Zine is final. I received some incredibly valuable notes from our consultant, the incomparable Kazumi Chin. Kaz had a lot of positive impact on the final product and I could not be happier with the work they did for this zine.
I did another final proofread last night (and will probably do another final proofread sometime today), but eventually I'm going to call this done and just brace for the messages I receive about the typo(s) that I never detected.
So, what does this all mean for fulfillment? It means we are very VERY extraordinarily close to getting these zines to your inbox and mailbox.
I set up the Backerkit page and am waiting on a couple of things to get straightened out on the back end of that system. I expect it will be ready to go by tomorrow. As soon as it is ready to go, I will be sending out smoke-test surveys. Smoke testing is required by Backerkit and will help to catch any issues with the survey. What this actually is, is a small number of surveys will be sent to a few backers to check for issues before the rest of the backers receive their surveys. This means some of you will receive your survey earlier than the rest of you, but the fulfillment should all take place at around the same time later this month.
The Backerkit will be where you can pay for shipping and add a zine or two to what you will receive from me during fulfillment. Also, Backerkit will have a preorder store, so if you have any friends who missed the Kickstarter, but still want a Characters (or One Page Dungeons) zine, then invite them to check out the Backerkit.
That's all for now. You will be getting surveys very soon and you will be getting this zine very soon after that.

July Update 2 - Back in the swing of things

Hello all!
I've done a lot of work on the zine since the last update and wanted to let you all know how much I truly appreciate your patience and your support.
The cover is final. The writing is final. The tables are final. I took a quick video of the b&w print I just did for final proofing and posted it on twitter here: https://twitter.com/CullopGeoffrey/status/1283814861147910144

It took me a few months to adjust to new living and working conditions in a post COVID world. I'm still not firing on all cylinders creatively, but it feels like energy levels and inspiration are slowly returning to normal. I'm excited about writing game stuff again and I can't wait to get you these zines.
